Curfew in effect until further notice in Kalmunai, Chavalakadai, and Sammanthurai areas
A curfew has been imposed in the areas belonging to the Kalmunai, Chavalakadai, and the Sammanthurai Police Divisions, police said.
The curfew will be in effect until further notice, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted.
A shootout took place between security personnel and another group of people in Sainthamaruthu, Kalmunai this evening.
