Curfew to be re-imposed in Kalmunai, Chavalakadai, and Sammanthurai areas
Curfew will re-imposed in the areas belonging to the Kalmunai, Chavalakade & Sammanthurai police divisions from 6.00 pm today (Apr 29) till 8.00 am tomorrow, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
A curfew was initially imposed on April 26 until further notice after a shootout had occured between a group of security personnel and some suspected terrorists in the area.
However, the curfew was lifted yesterday and had been re-imposed from 5 pm until 8 am today.
