A customer was shot and injured during an armed robbery at a state bank branch at Kudawella in Tangalle this morning (5). Police said two unidentified gunmen wearing full-face helmets had carried out the robbery and escaped.
One customer was shot and injured in the incident. He has been admitted to the Tangalle Hospital.
The armed robbers remain at large. The exact amount of money taken in the robbery has still not been determined. Further investigations are ongoing.
