Cyclone Burevi’s effect will only be limited to heavy showers in Northern, North -central and North-western provinces with several spells of showers in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and Galle, Matara districts, the Meteorology Department said.
“The cyclonic storm is expected to emerge into the Gulf of Mannar by noon today (3). Hence the influence of the cyclonic storm is expected to gradually reduce during the next few hours,” the Department said.
