A resident of Maligawatta was sentenced to death today after he was found guilty for possessing 13.23 grams of heroin.
The death sentence was imposed on 35-year-old Upul Chaminda, a father of two children.
Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga, delivering the sentence said that he can taken into consideration the damage caused by the drug menace. (MG)
