Commissioner General of Examination, Sanath Pujitha has said the G.C.E. A/L results will not be released tomorrow (Dec 28) as planned.
He added that the results would be delayed for another two or three days.
"This cannot be considered as a delay although the mechanism in which the results would be released was issued with this year's time table," he explained. "The results would however be released before Dec 30".
However, the Ministry of Education had earlier issued instructions to release the G.C.E. A/L results by December 28, while releasing the results of the G.C.E. O/L and Grade Five scholarship examinations on March 28 and October 05 respectively.
