Director General of Civil Aviation. H.M.C.Nimalsiri has issued the gazette notifying the public that the Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo will be closed for operation of all flights from 0830 hrs (0300 UTC) to 1630 hrs (1100 UTC) every day during the period commencing from 06th January, 2017 to 06thApril, 2017 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of carrying out of the runway resurfacing work.
“Accordingly the Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo would be opened for operation of flights only outside the aforementioned period during 06th January, 2017 – 06th April, 2017, “ the DG Civil Aviation said.
