Dialog says services fully restored; blames 'power systems failure'

Dialog Axiata states that its mobile services have now been fully restored. Issuing a statement through its social media accounts, the company stated that it regrets the inconvenience to customers arising from network disturbances on Wednesday (20) afternoon.

"The disturbance to voice and SMS services occurred due to a power systems failure at one of our key network nodes, which resulted in congestion in other parts of the network," the company explained. 

Dialog also claimed its services were "fully restored in less than 60 minutes."

Customers however, reported that service disruptions lasted for several hours yesterday. Many customers complained that they were not getting a working signal and could not make calls using the network.
