Dilrukshi resumes duties as Additional Solicitor General

Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe, who resigned as Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), today assumed duties as an Additional Solicitor General. 

She resigned last week in the wake of President Maithripala Sirisena's criticism of the Commission over the way it had treated former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and three former navy commanders. The Bribery Commission recently filed corruption charges against the individuals. 

Her resignation was subsequently accepted by the President. She assumed duties as the DG of the Bribery Commission on February 12, 2015.
