A discussion on the proposed Democratic National Front alliance ended today (Aug 16).
The meeting had taken place at the residence of Minister Rajitha Senaratne from 9 am to 12 pm.
Earlier, the Central Committee of the United National Party, which would lead the alliance, had cited issues concerning its proposed constitution.
Accordingly, the launch of the alliance which was expected to take place on August 5 too had been delayed to give Central Committee members an opportunity to make recommendations to the constitution.
