Diyathalawa explosion not terror related - Military

Military Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu has clarified that the explosion this morning did not take place inside the private bus plying from Jaffna to Bandarawela, but on another bus to which the passengers got into along the way. 

Passengers who had come from Jaffna to Bandarawela had got into another bus in Bandarawela in order to travel to Diyathalawa and it was inside this bus that the explosion and fire occurred, the Military Spokesman told the media during the Cabinet media briefing a few moments ago.   

Brigadier Atapattu further insisted that the incident is not being treated as a terrorist attack. He said further investigations are being conducted by police.
