The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) is to distribute disaster response equipment across all districts in the country tomorrow (Apr 09).
Generators, tents, inflatable boats and dry rations will be among the items which are to be distributed, the DMC said.
The authority noted that these items would be distributed prior to the heavy rainfall predicted over the island following the drought.
Accordingly, disaster response equipment worth Rs 200 million will be distributed to the tri-forces and the DMC district offices tomorrow.
