A group of doctors have begun a protest opposite the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital against the Health Minister and accused doctor Mohamed Shafi.
The doctors, based in the North Western Province, had launched the protest in line with the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA)'s protest week which is in effect since Monday.
Meanwhile, 942 complaints have been filed against Kurunegala Teaching Hospital doctor Mohamed Shafi who has been accused of involuntarily sterilising women.
He is currently under the custody of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
