The Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya has issued a directive to all the media that not to report any political meetings or press conferences urging the voters to vote for a particular candidate. Commissioner Deshapriya requested all the electronic and print media and political parties to refrain from such kind of activities.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
