Eight associates of Easter Sunday attack mastermind Mohamed Zahran, who were detained on court orders, have been remanded until August 7 by the Kalmunai Magistrate's court.
The suspects were among a group of 14 persons who had been arrested by the Ampara police before being detained on a 90-day detention order issued by the court.
Investigations have shown that five of the remanded suspects had attended sermons of the main suicide bomber, while three others had received training with him.
