Police have commenced investigations into the killing of a woman who was thrown into a well at her residence in Minuwagoda yesterday (Oct 10).
The victim, 71-year old A. Somwathi, had been thrown into a well, before her house had been robbed, preliminary inquiries have shown.
Police said that the remains of the victim would not be removed from the scene of the incident until an autopsy and a magisterial inquest are carried out on the body.
Minuwangoda police are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspects involved behind this incident.
