Elections Commissioner to have a special meeting with officials today
Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya will have a special meeting with the Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers and District Secretaries from all districts at the Elections Secretariat today, local media reported According to reports Elections Department sources said the Commissioner summoned all officials manning the elections at district level to Colombo at 11 a.m. today. "The Commissioner is to educate all officials about the upcoming General Election on their responsibilities to ensure a free and fair election," he said.
