Eleven soldiers to be indicted over high profile murder - Defence Secretary
Eleven soldiers will be indicted within two weeks over a high profile murder, Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando said today (Jan 21).
Addressing an event in Colombo, Mr. Fernando said that all soliders are not war heroes.
He added that around 40,000 soldiers with Ranaviru medals can claim themselves as war heroes.
"Those who joined three months ago cannot do so," the Defence Secretary remarked.
