The touring England cricket team, today (Nov 19) visited Mannar, Periyamadu to witness the demining programme which has been funded by the British government.
Accordingly, England Skipper Joe Root, Johnny Bairstow, a few other players along with the British High Commissioner James Dauris accompanied the team when they visited the location in which the demining programme is currently underway.
Sri Lankan Air Force personnel and Commando forces were deployed to provide security for the players.
