The COVID-19 patient who escaped from the Ragama Teaching Hospital has been found within the hospital complex this evening.
The patient, who escaped early this morning, had returned to the hospital, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
Ragama Hospital Director Dr Shelton Perera told Times Online that the patient has been handed over to the Ragama Police.
The 62-year-old patient is a resident of Peliyagoda and he had been confirmed as a COVID-19 patient last night.
