Evacuation warnings were issued to the areas in the Ududumbara and Walapane Divisional Secretariats in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today (Dec 4).
This was after rainfall in these areas exceeded 150 mm during the last 24 hours.
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued landslide warnings to Ratnapura, Badulla, Nuwara Eliya and Kandy districts.
