Former Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan, Professor Dammika Ganganath Dissanayake passed away today at a private hospital in Maharagama, family said.
Prof. Dissanayake, who is an Associate Professor of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura also served as the Chairman of the Independent Television Network (ITN) in the past. He is also a prolific author of number of academic publications on contemporary Sinhala cinema and mass communication.
