Exams Department launches online mechanism to request for G.C.E. O/L, A/L certificates

The Examinations Department has launched a mechanism to assist G C E Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) candidates to request for their certificates through an online system.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deliver these examination certificates through registered post has also been signed between the Exams Department and the Postal Department.

The methods of obtaining certificates for exams could be chosen by following the steps, as issued by the Examinations Department :

1. Visit the Examinations Department's website (www.doenets.lk)
2. Enter the National Identity Card (NIC) number, mobile phone and the email address of the candidate
3. Enter the passcode sent to the mobile phone/email address of the candidate
4. Enter the following details on a form which appears on the website : Name of the Examination, Year, and Candidate Number 
5. Check whether the name of the candidate appearing on the website is correct
6. Enter the type of certificate required, the number of copies and the method of obtaining the document.
7. Make the required payment as displayed on the screen
8. The certificate which will be displayed on the website after the payment is received
9. Confirm the method of obtaining the certificate
