Newly appointed Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa has said that he would become an independent member in Parliament.
Speaking exclusively to Times Online, he said that he would continue to remain as Minister of Education and Higher Education in spite of becoming an independent member.
MP Rajapaksa was the only government MP to attend today's parliamentary session in spite of the UPFA announcing their decision to boycott the session.
