Public is requested to keep their business card or personal details written on a piece of paper, especially if travelling in public transport or planning to go on festive shopping, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said during the festive season anti-COVID health operations such as random antigen tests will take place and health authorities will request for details such as National Identity Card number, contact details in order to trace if there are cases reported.
“If a person travelled in a bus with a COVID positive person, all other passengers will have to self-isolate. Therefore it is necessary to provide your details when requested,” he said.
