All film halls that come under National Film Corporation are requested to suspend screening of films till further notice following a directive issued by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Cultural Affairs Ministry said in a statement indicating that the step is taken as a precautionary measure to prevent spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Ministry also said that it is yet to take a decision on cancelling musical events and drama events shortly.
