A final decision must be reached with regard to the draft Counter Terrorism Act (CTA) by discussing it in the parliamentary group meetings, MP Mujibur Rahman said yesterday (May 20).
While pointing out that there were diverse views being expressed on the CTA, MP Rahman emphasised that all parliamentarians in the government must uphold one stance after conducting a discussion on the matter.
The United National Party (UNP) parliamentarian also said that his party would announce its stance on the no-confidence motion against Rishad Bathiudeen in near future.
However, he recounted that the government has easily defeated several no-faith motions put forward by the Joint Opposition over the last few years.
