The final rites of the 16 persons who were killed during explosions which took place inside a rest house in Saindamardu was conducted with the intervention of the Police today (Apr 02), Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
Mr. Gunasekara pointed out that the remains of 10 persons were buried without religious rites while the final rites of six children were done in accordance with religious rituals.
The final rites of these persons was conducted in this manner in accordance to appeals put forward by the priests in the area.
