Finance Ministry to amend five acts in future
The Finance Ministry will amend laws pertaining to five acts in the near future.
Among them include the Value Added Tax Act, Nation Building Tax Act, Economic Service Charge Act, Inland Revenue Act, and the Betting and Gaming Levy Act.
According to a cabinet paper submitted by the Finance Minister, these acts would have to be amended in order to implement certain proposals of this year's budget.
The cabinet paper had been approved yesterday (Aug 27).
