The Finance Ministry will issue a circular to all ministries this week instructing that expenditures be cut by15 percent, a senior official told Times Online.
According to the ministry official, the move is expected to save the government Rs 100 billion this year.
The official said that the circular would instruct all ministries to refrain from unnecessary foreign tours, purchasing of vehicles, and seeking treasury funds for multi-million dollar projects without investors.
