One individual was injured and two are believed to have been killed in a fire that erupted in a building in Maradana a short while ago, local media reported
The Maradana police said the fire erupted in the afternoon at a building located close to the Elphinstone Theatre.
The fire was extinguished with the support of the Colombo Fire Brigade and the police. The injured have been admitted to the Colombo National hospital for treatment.
The cause for the breakout of the fire is under investigation.
