A fire broke out in Navagamuwa at around 8:10 pm yesterday (Apr 13) when lightning struck an electricity meter at a private bank in the area.
Navgamuwa Police along with area residents had taken measures to contain the fire, police said.
No casualties have been reported so far, police noted adding that the losses due to the fire has not been estimated yet.
Navagamuwa police are investigating further into the incident.
