A fire has broken out at a a three storeyed textile store near Hekitta Junction in Wattala this morning.
Police said that two fire trucks of the Wattala Municipal Council and a Navy fire truck have been deployed to douse the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined yet. Further investigations are currently underway.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
