A fire broke out at a private company where wax matches are manufactured in Katugastota today (Jun 30), police said.
However, the fire had been doused with the assistance of the Kandy Fire Brigade and area residents this afternoon.
According to the Police, the fire had erupted at the match box storage facility of the company.
No casualties or injuries were caused as a result of the fire, police observed adding that further investigations were underway.
