Five arrested for treasure hunting

Five persons who were allegedly digging for treasure at a land belonging to a farm in Veheragama, Aralaganvila, were taken into custody by police last night (24) along with their digging equipment.

The arrested suspects, aged 30, 32, 43, 48 and 50 years, are residents of Dehiaththakandiya, Kottagoda and Veheragama. The suspects are due to be produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate's Court today (25).
