Five suspects who had been released on bail over criminal charges recently have been arrested in Kalutara yesterday (Jul 15).
According to the police, they had been arrested in a car with 2.6 grams of heroin, a walkie talkie, and cash worth Rs 80,550.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Borella between the ages of 24 and 33.
They had claimed that they were on their way to visit an inmate at the Kalutara prison.
Kalutara Police are investigating further into the matter.
