Five injured after bus overturns on Southern Expressway

Five persons were injured after a bus overturned near the 121 kilometer post on the Southern Expressway at about 5.30 morning (13). 

The injured have been admitted to the Matara Hospital. 

The incident had occurred between the Godagama and Kokmaduwa Interchanges. The bus had been on its way to Godagama when it overturned.

Godagama Police said the bus was not a normal passenger bus and was carrying a separate group of people.

The injured are not in a serious condition, and Matara Police have commenced investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
