Five service transfers of administrative officials of the Southern Provincial Council were approved by Southern Governor Keerthi Tennakoon yesterday (Apr 18).
Local government ministry secretary, A.U Welaratne was transferred to the post of Southern Governor's Secretary.
Mr. Welaratne replaced W.U.G. Premachandra who was transferred to the position of Southern Provincial Council Secretary.
K.L Dayananda who was serving as the Secretary to the Council was transferred as the Chairman of the Southern Provincial Public Service Commission.
This move saw Vidura Kariyawasam who served as the Commission Chairman, being transferred as Secretary to the Provincial Council Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Production, and Rural Industries.
