Five Sri Lankan refugees were arrested by Indian customs officials today (Feb 12) while attempting to illegally return to Sri Lanka by boat.
The suspects were refugees at the Anayoor refugee camp in Madurai.
Indian customs officials had apprehended the suspects off Ooththtathlai and later handed them over to the Danuskodi Police.
Further investigations continue.
