Five Tamil political parties have signed a memorandum outlining the problems of the people in the Northern and Eastern provinces, to be handed over to all Presidential candidates.
Student unions in the Northern and South Eastern Universities, that drafted the memorandum, said the problems faced by the people in their areas and the solutions to overcome them have been included in the document.
The memorandum has been prepared hoping that the next President would resolve their issues, after coming into power, following the November 16 vote, unions said.
The Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi, People's Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam, Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization, Tamil National People's Front, and the Tamil People’s Alliance have signed the memorandum.
