Plans are afoot to arrest former Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda before the 40th UN Human Rights Council session which would commence on February 25, National Freedom Front (NFF) MP Jayantha Samaraweera claimed.
MP Samaraweera added that the government should be prevented from taking such action against soldiers in a bid to please the UN Human Rights Council.
He made these remarks while addressing a press conference at the NFF headquarters yesterday (Feb 12)
