All foreign-educated graduates who applied for employment under the graduate scheme will be considered for employment, a senior official said.
Secretary Ministry of Public services J.J. Ratnasiri said some 4,100 have applied for jobs and they would be considered for recruitment.
However, they will be mainly considered for jobs in difficult areas for appointments as teachers, he said.
Earlier the foreign educated graduates were not considered for employment prompting protests from this sector.
