Foreign mail services have been suspended due to a technical error in the Postal Department's computer system, Lanka Postal Services Union President Jagath Mahinda said.
Mr. Mahinda noted that no steps have been taken to address this issue so far, despite bringing it to the attention of senior officials at the Department.
The union President said that the payment of pensions too could be affected from next week if this issue persists.
