The former Acting Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Divulapitiya Police has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
He has been arrested in connection with the death of a suspect who was arrested by the Divulapitiya Police in October, last year.
The suspect had been in remand at the Negombo Prison before being admitted to the Prison Hospital. He later died.
