Former Deputy Inspector General of Police Nalaka De Silva, who is currently facing charges over involvement in an alleged assassination attempt of VVIPs, arrived at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to record a statement.
He was unable to appear before the CID due to personal reasons, when he was called last Tuesday.
Meanwhile yesterday the National Police Commission reached a decision to interdict DIG Nalaka de Silva with immediate effect.
The Commission reached the decision to interdict DIG de Silva following a recommendation forwarded by the Ministry of Law and Order.
