Former Development Lotteries Board (DLB) Chairman Sarana Gunawardena, has been granted bail.
Mr Gunawardena was found guilty, by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, for misusing funds while purchasing a vehicle during his tenure as DLB Chairman.
He was previously sentenced to three years in prison and handed a fine of Rs 300,000.
However, the order was repealed after the defendant had appealed against his sentence at the Colombo High Court.
