Former Director of Military Intelligence, Major General (Retired) Amal Karunasekara was today further remanded in custody until Septmeber 10 by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court.
The suspect has been arrested in connection with the abduction and assault of journalist Keith Noyahr in 2008. The courts was told that former military head was aware of a safe house located in Thompe area where Mr Noyahr was suspected to be detained later was released.
