Former President assumes duties as head of UPFA Elections Committee
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa assumed duties as the UPFA Elections Committee Head at a meeting of the committee held at SLFP headquarters. Local media quoted Mahajana Eksath Peramuna leader Dinesh Gunawardena as making this announcement at the SLFP headquarters a short while ago. UPFA Chairman Maithripala Sirisena yesterday said that he will be neutral at the upcoming general election.
