The foundation stone laying ceremony for ‘Amaradewa Asapuwa’, the musical monastery to be constructed in memory of Pandit W.D. Amaradewa will be held on August 28 at Apegama premises In Battaramulla.
According to the government news portal, this will be held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Minister of Finance and Media Mangala Samraweera, Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawana, Secretary to the Ministry R.H.S. Samaratunge, and Chairperson of Amaradewa Foundation Mrs. Wimala Amaradewa will also participate on this occasion.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media.
