Four suspects who were charged with killing an individual in Kahawatta during the Presidential election in 2015 were acquitted today (Feb 26) and released by the High Court of Ratnapura.
A total of seven individuals were named as suspects in this case that was heard before Court.
However, court ordered that three other suspects including former Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara would continue to remain as suspects in the case.
Further hearing of the case will take place on March 22.
